Roasted Leg of Goat or Lamb

A whole roasted goat leg that you can slice with a knife might be the perfect centerpiece to any meal where you’d serve a leg of lamb or a big pot roast.

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan
  3. Add in seasonings and stir to combine
  4. Brush butter and seasonings all over goat leg, pouring any remaining butter over the goat leg
  5. Cover well and place in the preheated oven. A 3lb goat leg will take around 6 - 8 hours. You can even marinate the evening before for even more flavor.
  6. To get a crispy outside on the leg - allow your leg to cool for 15 minutes or so and then sear on the stovetop on all sides over high heat.
  7. Slice and serve.
